Justification of the proposed topic: The first SADEI was held with the 12th ISADS in Taichung in 2015. The second SADEI will be a part of ISADS again. It will continue to focus on distributed embedded systems, and add collaborative development into the workshop. SADEI commits be an interdisciplinary forum for the presentation of new advances and research results in the fields of systems and algorithm for distributed embedded and IoT systems. The workshop provides an opportunity for academic and industry professionals to discuss recent progress in the area of design, synthesis, implementation, test and analysis of embedded and IoT systems. The goals of this workshop are to provide a comprehensive coverage of the areas outlined and to bring together the researchers from academic and industry as well as practitioners to share ideas, challenges, and solutions relating to the aspects of this field. Papers describing systems and algorithms for distributed embedded and IoT systems are solicited. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: o Memory architectures for embedded and IoT systems o Compilers for heterogeneous embedded and IoT systems o Programming models for embedded and IoT systems o Autonomous Decentralized Systems o Collaborative design and development of Decentralized Systems o Distributed and parallel processing o Embedded OS designs and performance tuning tools o Embedded and IoT system software & optimization o Intelligent human computer interfaces o Intelligent devices and instruments o Algorithm to analysis and simulation techniques and systems o Application-specific processors and devices o Artificial intelligence in distributed and IoT system o Real-time system designs for embedded and IoT environments o Applications for automobile electronics o Internet of intelligent things and Robot as a Service o Emerging technologies/applications/principles/algorithms Information for Authors: Research papers should describe original work (not submitted or published elsewhere) and be up to 15 double-spaced pages (4,000 words) or 6 pages in IEEE double-column conference paper format. Papers should include: title, authors, affiliations, 150-word abstract and list of keywords. Please identify the contact author clearly, including name, position, mailing address, telephone number, and email address. At least one of the authors of each accepted paper must register and present the paper at SADEI 2017. Authors must submit their manuscripts electronically following the instructions at the SADEI 2017web site at: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=sadei2017. |
